Radon Mitigation…We Do It RIGHT!
Radon Done Right now offers mitigation services for radon in Maine and northern New Hampshire.
No one wants to have to deal with radon in their home but it is an unfortunate fact of life for many families here in Maine and in many other areas of the country.
Most home owners have never heard of radon until their home was tested by a potential buyer’s home inspector. I recommend that you test for radon now to protect your family’s health and the value of your home.
The process of selling your home can be a stressful event. Learning that your home has a radon problem just before a scheduled closing date can add to that stress. I’ll do everything in my power to work with you, the buyer, and the real estate agents to resolve the radon issues and help closings proceed on schedule. My work is guaranteed and the warranty transferable. Call Radon Done Right, LLC today to answer your questions

The Good News Is
We are now aware of the dangerous health risks associated with radon gas and strict guidelines for making your home a safe place to live have been established by the EPA. New technologies combined with our many years of experience enable us to guarantee post mitigation radon levels to 2pCi/L or below in many cases. In fact, 85% of the properties Radon Done Right, LLC has mitigated resulted in post-mitigation test reports at or below 2 pCi/L while 15% were between 2 and 4 pCi/L. Many of the post mitigation laboratory test results from jobs that we have done indicate indoor radon levels below 0.4pCi/L which is BELOW the average outdoor radon level (0.4 pCi/L is the average outdoor radon level according to the EPA).
The State of Maine Radon Control office strongly recommends remediation if the levels in your home are at 4 pCi/L (pico Curies per Liter) or above. They also suggest “consider fixing” if the levels are between 2 and 4 pCi/L. The highest levels the company has encountered were 261.6 pCi/L and post-mitigation tests results indicated a reduction to 1.4 pCi/L. There is no relationship between the levels of radon soil gas in the home and the cost of mitigation. My goal is not simply to reduce the levels to below 4 or 2 pCi/L, rather it is through diligence and attention to details I strive to ensure that the radon system I install will perform at the highest level of efficiency thereby reducing the radon levels as much as possible. The same care and attention to detail is given to every home I service.
NOT ALL REGISTERED RADON CONTRACTORS ARE EQUAL, not unlike some other professional service providers. There are those who will low bid a job just to get the contract and then cut corners to save money. This can often result in costing the home owner more money to have their system corrected. To see examples of this visit the wall of shame page. To protect yourself and or your client call the Maine Radon Control Program office and ask if there are any active complaints against the radon service provider you are considering: 1-800-232- 0842
